Call Statistics

Cornell EMS responds to a variety of calls every year, ranging from minor traumatic injuries such as finger lacerations and sports injuries to major head traumas. CUEMS is also dispatched to a variety of medical emergencies including asthma attacks, anaphalaxis, cardiac and difficulty breathing. CUEMS patients may be transported to Cayuga Medical Center, Gannett Health Center on Cornell Campus, or a Level 1 Trauma Center via ground or helicopter along with the possibilities to refuse medical attention from either CUEMS or Bangs personnel. Cornell EMS responds to appoximately 500-800 calls each year.
